As the name suggests this is a surface lure, much the same as a popper with a little less pop but a lot more action, the silicone skirt gives the visual effect of kicking legs as the lure is jerked across the surface, a bit of wind ripple on the water will also cause the legs to move about when the lure is left to linger for longer periods between jerks.
Armed with a double hook concealed within the silicone skirt this surface frog can be fished all day but generally the best results are achieved when fished through dawn and dusk.
